You are all invited to the Coastwatch ‘Marine Life and Litter’ Exhibition Launch!!
The exhibition, provides Coastwatch citizen science marine litter data over thirty years with a focus on the Island of Ireland and snippets from across Europe. For select items like plastic bags, the data captures the fast improvements achieved where apt action was taken to address a growing marine litter problem. This leads into a module on solutions linked to the EU plastic strategy and new waste law. Artist contributions are to engage the viewer in the value of our seas, biodiversity and the threats posed by marine litter.
