The island of Ireland Coastwatch survey has been extended to Sunday 20th Oct 2013. The weekend spring tides provide a last opportunity:
‣to explore rarely exposed lowest shores and discover wonderful native species
‣take an extra look at shores near harbours and aquaculture installations to check for invasive alien species
‣note locations where sea and wind have created litter heaps to notify producers and users …
We would be particularly interested in (i) surveyors on the west and NW and NE coast as well as (ii) anyone around harbours and installations where invasive alien species may be introduced. No need to book – just select sites, survey and report back using the survey monkey option on our website or posting the forms back.
